Directions

• Fragen: Excuse me, could you tell me the way to …? · How do I get to …? · Is there a … near here?
• Richtungen: go straight on, turn left / right, take the first turning on the left, go past the church, cross the bridge, go along the road.
• Ortsangaben: opposite, next to, between, behind, in front of, at the corner, on the left-hand side.
• Entfernung: It's about five minutes' walk. · It's just around the corner. · It's quite far – you'd better take the bus.
• Klar beschreiben heißt: in Schritten, mit festen Punkten zum Wiedererkennen (Kirche, Ampel, Supermarkt) – nicht mit Straßennamen allein.
• Wenn man selbst nicht weiß: Sorry, I'm not from here.
